Driver document requirements

If you want to make some extra money signing up as aUrban driver might be a good place to start. To make use of our platform you have to meet a few requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Have a valid taxi license with a valid P-Number.

  • Have a valid driver card

  • Have your car registered for taxi purposes

  • Make sure your car is legally insured

  • Make sure you have a MOT approved car

  • Not have any visible commercial branding, logos, or advertisements

Vehicle requirements

To be eligible for our platform, your vehicle must meet the following requirements:

  • Meet all the RDW requirements for taxi vehicles

  • Be registered as a taxi

  • Be clean and well-maintained

  • Have no external or internal damage

  • Your car must not have any visible commercial branding, logos, or advertisements.

Urban

  • Maximum vehicle age: 20 years

  • Minimum seats: 4 (excluding the driver)

Comfort

  • Maximum vehicle age: 8 years

  • Minimum seats: 4 (excluding the driver)

  • Vehicle type: Sedan, station wagon, SUV, electric minivan

  • Excellent vehicle condition

Premium

  • Maximum vehicle age: 8 years

  • Minimum seats: 4 (excluding the driver)

  • Vehicle type: Luxurious sedan, coupe, or SUV

  • Perfect vehicle condition

XL

  • Maximum vehicle age: 15 years

  • Minimum seats: 6 (excluding the driver)

  • Vehicle type: Compact minivan

  • Good vehicle condition

Electric

  • Minimum seats: 4 (excluding the driver)

  • Vehicle type: Sedan, Station wagon, SUV

  • Fully electric (hybrids are not accepted)
